National Science Foundation Fellowship!

After much deliberation and thought, I took another leap of faith. Only this time, I had a clear visual for where I would land upon taking such a leap.
I decided to accept the opportunity to be an NSF Fellow! I was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) award, and was given until May 1st, 2017 to make a decision. It’s been one of the hardest decisions in my life, to be honest. Whereas most would jump on this opportunity, I was forced to critically evaluate the consequences of my actions, and what it might mean in terms of my future in Science, Research, and/or Academia.
This is is just me giving a quick update. As I plan to do for March for Science, I’ll do for this NSF GRFP award: Expect a more lengthy and personal legit blog post. Right now it’s near midnight and I’m working on an exam for one of my graduate courses.

Nonetheless, I’m excited and happy to share this journey and experience with everyone else!
